Even if TikTok goes away, short-form videos, reels and trends are here to stay. And if we’ve learned anything from the demise of Vine and MySpace, other than it’s wrong to rank your friends publicly (or privately, really), something new will always take its place. The demand for fast, engaging content will find other platforms to call home besides Instagram Reels, which is still going strong. When they do, you’ll be one step ahead and able to boost your posts to the top of their feed by participating in trends. Trends help showcase your brand’s personality, increase engagement and connect with a wider community.

Bowe Digital can help! We share an update on what’s trending each month on video and audio, so all you have to do is get behind the camera. If you need help getting started on TikTok, check out our TikTok ebook. We also offer Studio Days, where our team will join you for 4 to 6 hours of video recording at a great price.

Raise Your YA YA YA Video Trend

We’re starting with a two-for-one. You can show off your pitch-perfect or out-of-tune pipes by simply recreating this trend like @misty270, or you can remix the original video with a highlight reel like the Houston Texans football team did. You can also use the remixed version to contrast two different things like this. For example, if your product packaging had a glow-up, or you’re a realtor who used to share pictures of your listings, and now you share videos.

How does any of that have to do with singing YA YA YA? Frankly, we don’t know, but a simple rule of thumb for video trends is that they don’t have to make sense to you for them to be successful.

La La La by Sam Smith Video Trend

From YA YA YA to La La La. This one requires dancing, but don’t freak out; you don’t have to learn any choreography. Just grab a coworker or friend and take turns lipsyncing and letting the music guide you, like these construction workers or this couple.

My Shayla Video Trend

People mostly use this audio trend to show someone or something now versus when they were little and looked so cute you could hardly handle it. Then, they add text like “When I get annoyed, but remember this is who I’m talking to.” Here’s an example. Put a corporate twist on this trend by showing the office pet now vs. as a baby, like this or a picture of you now vs. you as a kid with text that says, “When my boss gets mad at me but remembers this is who they are mad at.”

That Don’t Impress Me Much Audio Trend

No matter what industry or how many years of experience you have, we all come across people who think they know more than us. Save your eye-roll and hop on this trend instead. Post an image or video of someone woman or mansplaining something you already know about. Then, post what you’re an expert in. In this example by @kenzbrooksbetz, she contrasted “Letting a guy mansplain the game to me….” with pictures and videos of her sportscasting career.

Guy Sipping His Coffee CapCut Template

If you’re one to sip your coffee while your customers or coworkers spill the tea, then this CapCut is for you. To use it, just add a caption about any situation where you sat back, unbothered and didn't involve yourself.

Hannah Montana CapCut Template

As word spreads about the TikTok ban, we’ve seen a lot of unserious Gen-Zers using this CapCut to say goodbye to the app and the “spies” who have been watching them and curating their feed for the past five years, but you can use it for anything. For example, POV: Our clients after a successful deal or POV: Me saying goodbye to my work crush (or bestie) at the end of the day.

Resolution Bingo

The first month of 2025 isn’t even over, and some of us have already broken our resolutions. Who can relate? So many of us put too much pressure on ourselves and set unrealistic expectations at the start of a new year. Instead, let’s make it fun! A creative approach that’s gone viral in recent years is turning your resolutions into a bingo card
Here’s how it works: You write down small goals for the year in a table formation. When you achieve a goal, you mark it with an "X" and try to get multiple bingos throughout the year. Each time you get a bingo, reward yourself!
