We’ll keep this Short n’ Sweet like Sabrina Carpenter’s album. A successful marketing strategy needs to include short-form video content for TikTok and Reels. Trends are a great place to start. You can participate in trends by copying them to a T, or you can take something popular and put your twist on it like SNL did for their viral Domingo skit spoofing Sabrina Carpenter’s song Espresso.
Bowe Digital can help! We share an update on what’s trending each month on video and audio, so all you have to do is get behind the camera. If you need help getting started on TikTok, check out our TikTok ebook. We also offer Studio Days, where our team will join you for 4 to 6 hours of video recording at a great price.
Interpretive Dance Video Trend
Is there something that your teammate really wants to do? Make them dance for it! People all over TikTok are “making” their significant others and friends do an interpretive dance to watch football, play Fortnite or go to Home Goods using this hilarious trend. It can work for any situation or industry. Just film your coworker dancing to this audio and add text that says, “Making ___ do an interpretive dance for ___.”
Hear Me Out Cake Video Trend
Traditionally, people use this trend to highlight TV and movie characters they’re oddly attracted to that aren’t conventionally attractive, like this example. You can do that or put your own spin on it by thinking about the things in your industry or work environment that you like, but most people don’t. Like, hear me out…going into the office seven days a week, dressing business professionally, meetings that could’ve been an email or eating lunch at your desk.
This audio trend pokes fun at our generational differences and the lingo Gen Z and Gen X use. Have your more seasoned teammates lip-sync the words like this or use it in any instance where “we all fam.” For real estate professionals, that could be “When Gen Z enters the housing market.” For other businesses, it could be “When someone new enters our store” or “When the new hire shows up.”
I’m Not Done Talking Audio Trend
Does your boss get a little sassy before their morning coffee, like this example? Is everyone shocked when the cool manager loses their cool a little bit? If so, this trend is for you. The audio has multiple speaking parts, making it easy to get more of your team involved.
Use this template to defend a friend, customer or teammate over something they don’t enjoy while on the job. Check out this example.
Part of the Job CapCut Template
On harder days, we need a reminder that for better or for worse, some things are just part of the job. It helps when that reminder comes from Taylor Swift. Use this CapCut of Taylor to highlight the not-so-glamorous things you must deal with in your industry.
Turn Yourself Into a Gif
Show your customers how savvy you are and strengthen your branding by turning yourself into a GIF. Using it alongside a review or testimonial, or when sharing something on your Instagram or Facebook Stories, will make it more personalized and stop the scroll.
Here’s how you do it:
- Take a video of yourself standing in front of a plain background. Complete an action like blowing a kiss, waving or drawing a heart.
- Open stories on Instagram, click the square smiley face icon and press “Cutouts.”
- Select the video you just made. Tap “Next” and then tap “Create Sticker.”
- Ta-da! You’re a GIF, and you can add any additional elements and stickers on top.
