What’s Trending: September Edition

For Belly, it was The Summer I Turned Pretty. For you, it was the summer I participated in TikTok and Instagram trends. At least we hope that’s been the case. If not, there’s still time! Following the show’s season three finale, Jenny Han surprised us with the announcement of The Summer I Turned Pretty movie, meaning Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah’s story doesn’t end here. Yours doesn’t either. It’s time to fall into a new marketing strategy this Autumn and start incorporating even more videos and trends.

Imposter Game Video Trend 

Here’s how the game works: Everyone is given the same secret word, except one person who’s the impostor. Each player takes turns saying a word that relates to the secret word without giving it away, and after a few rounds, the group votes on who they think the impostor is, like this. Businesses can join in by using words tied to their industry. For example, a real estate team might use “Closing” as the word, with players dropping clues like “keys,” “title,” “signature,” “transfer,” or “open,” while the impostor scrambles to blend in.

We can’t think of a trend that’s more perfect for your business to try than this one! It puts the spotlight on the people who matter most: your customers. Plus, all you have to do is point at the camera and add some text. Check out this example and give it a try.

This trend is ideal for capturing those moments when someone forgot to fill you in on lunch plans, tag you in a post or give you the office tea. Think Dance Moms drama, but for your work or friend life.

Sabrina Carpenter – Nobody’s Son Audio Trend

If you’ve ever wanted to smack your coworkers or customers for something, this is your chance — theoretically, of course. Highlight the “corrupt” things they do, like not using your product or service, and pair it with this audio from Sabrina Carpenter’s new album. Then smack them through the screen. Our advice–try to keep it light-hearted!
