So, you’ve made it official. You’ve teamed up with Bowe Digital for your marketing, and we’re thrilled to have you on board. This is the first step toward a more consistent and strategic marketing presence, but what happens after you sign on?

Every new partnership begins with our Kick-Off Call — a virtual session where we align on your goals, your voice and your strategy so that everything we create feels like it came directly from your team. To help you prepare, here’s what to expect and how to make the most of our time together.

Phase 1: Meet Your “Pod”

On this Zoom call, you’ll meet the experts who will work closely with you to create, deliver and execute your business’s marketing content: 

  • Account Lead: Your main point of contact for anything you—or we—need.
  • Content Lead: The voice of your brand. They handle everything written, from social captions and blog posts to emails, website copy and more.
  • Graphic Lead: Your visual architect. They bring your brand to life by creating your custom designs, including ads, flyers, email headers and social graphics.

Phase 2: Setting the Foundation

Before we dive into the creative, we make sure we’re fully aligned on how we’ll work together. We’ll walk through your Welcome Packet, which covers:

  • Our Team: An intro to our leadership and additional support contacts.
  • The Communication Plan: To keep your marketing on schedule, we follow a structured communication plan to keep it moving. We will email your deliverables and send up to two follow-ups. If we haven’t heard back, we’ll give you a call.


Note: Consistent communication is key. Failure to communicate on your end can delay your future deliverables.

  • Essential Tools: We’ll review our design intake form for extra requests and last-minute designs. If you’re a social media partner, we’ll set you up with our text-in number and walk you through how to use it so you can send us “in-the-moment” photos and updates.

Phase 3: The Deep Dive (What to Prepare)

This is the most important part of the process. We want to gather as much information as possible so that anything we create feels, sounds and looks like it was created by you (or the best version of you).

While the specific questions we ask vary depending on your industry and contract, we are going to dig deep. We want to understand your business, but we also want to understand who your customer is. You should come prepared to talk through:

  • Your “Why” & Voice: Your 30-second elevator pitch, your company culture and whether you want your brand to feel strictly professional or more “fun” and localized.
  • Your Goals: What do you hope to get out of your new marketing strategy? What does success look like to you?
  • Your Business: What are the most important areas of your website to drive traffic to? What are the top three characteristics of your business you want the world to know? What makes you better than your competitors?
  • Your Customers: What are their biggest pain points? What questions do they ask you most often? What do they value most when working with you?
  • Your Style: What graphic styles do you love (or hate)? Do you want to showcase your employees or stick to industry-specific topics?

What Happens After the Call?

Once we hang up, our work is just beginning. Your “Pod” meets privately to strategize.

We take everything we learned on the call to map out a plan that matches your vision, resonates with your customers and utilizes the types of content we know will perform best for your goals. You’ll then receive a follow-up email with a recap of our Kick-Off Call, next steps for connecting accounts and clear expectations on when you’ll receive your first round of deliverables.

How to Get the Most Out of This Process and Future Calls With Us

  • Invite the Right People: Bring anyone from your team who will be responsible for approvals or marketing decisions. However, try to keep the group focused. Too many conflicting ideas can cause delays if your internal team isn’t on the same page.
  • Bring “Inspo”: If you have examples of social media accounts, emails or blogs you love—or even existing marketing materials and testimonials—bring them. We’re the creative ones and can certainly take the lead, but the more direction you provide, the better.
  • Speak Up: Throughout the call, please interrupt us. This is a time for us to get to know you, so ask questions as they come to you.

Growing Together: The Kick-Off is just the beginning. We set monthly or quarterly calls (or more depending on your preference) to check in. As we work together, we constantly evaluate what’s working, what can be improved and where new opportunities exist. 

To get the most out of these ongoing sessions, many of the same Kick-Off rules apply. Invite the right people, bring inspiration and ideas and speak up.
